Natter

Private, self-hosted chat and LiveKit streaming.

Natter

The project.

Natter is an open-source alternative to Slack and Discord, bringing chat and high-quality streaming together in a private, self-hosted space.

I’m using LiveKit for streaming and building the chat experience around it. Privacy and control are central to the idea, rather than an afterthought.

Currently in development. A place for teams and communities that want to own their conversations.
